VIDEO IN 3 PARTS:
Where to begin...
trust me, there was coffee and lots of it!

This event began with breakfast at 8 a.m.

Then we got down to business...Part #1.

What happened at LWVUS Convention from Administrator (l)?  What's new with local leagues?  Co-President keeps us on pace (r)!

How about those by-laws changes?

LWVCT Administrator and Co-President make doubly sure we make the right procedural changes.

Serious business!

LWVCT had their new banner out that mimics National's style...

LWV of Weston attended with our full voting bloc -  2 votes, as a small League.

Not yet "debriefed" by Weston LWV Steering Committee. (R) Marvelous keynoter, out-going Co-President, National LWVUS Board member, and Co-President.
One delegate went to the Concurrence to modify LWVCT position on Primary Voting - it is, as I understand it, no big change.  Actually, one word changed in position.  What else was new?  This year the emphasis was on Generations - retaining interest of present members...yet with emphasis and an excellent presentation, on Millennials, "Gen 'Y'" etc.  How do they differ?
VIDEO OF THE PRESENTATION RE:  MILLENNIALS ETC. - PART #2.

PUBLIC ISSUES TEAM REPORT
- Big news on the suit against the State Elections Enforcement Commission - LWVCT is in on an amicus curiae brief with Common Cause, and some others, supporting S.E.E.C. - and we won PLUS D.G.A. withdrew (w/o prejudice) last item in their brief which had been rejected because it was prospective - can't sue someone over what they MIGHT do to you!

VP Public Issues explains this major effort and other lobbying and testimony work this past year in Part #1.
