TWELVE LEAGUES JOIN TOGETHER TO HOST...
U.S. Congress, 4th District, Sunday, October 23, 2016, Wilton High School, 5p.m. to 6:30p.m.
LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF WESTON WILL JOIN FORCES WITH OTHERS IN FAIRFIELD COUNTY TO HOLD 4th DISTRICT CONGRESSIONAL DEBATE IN WILTON OCTOBER 23
The League of Women Voters of Weston will join with the 11 other
Fairfield County Leagues to present a debate between incumbent Democrat
Jim Himes and Republican John Shaban, candidates for the U.S. House of
Representatives 4th Congressional District, on Sunday, October 23.
The event, free and open to the public, will be held from 5:00 to 6:30
p.m., at the Clune Performing Arts Center at Wilton High School, 395
Danbury Road/Route 7 in Wilton CT.
Stamford’s Kay
Maxwell, a former president of the League of Women Voters of the United
States and currently executive director of the Stamford-based World
Affairs Forum, will moderate the debate.
Other co-sponsors of
this event are LWVs of the Bridgeport Area, Darien, Fairfield,
Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Redding, Ridgefield, Stamford,
Westport and Wilton (hosting the event).

Roque "Rocky" De La Fuente, 61, a San Diego businessman and a
petitioning candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, won
the top ballot line Tuesday for Connecticut's presidential primary. Ted
