HOW DID THIS MEETING TURN OUT?  AWESOME!  SEE THE PICTURE STORY BELOW, AND WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE!!

PICTURE STORY:

Coffee flowed and donuts - not just donut holes - sat alongside data!

YUMMY
Turnout came after a Kiwanis Meeting that must have been fun!  But people trickled in to the meeting room and included the First Selectman, Chair. of P&Z, Conservation Commission member or two,
other Town appointed officials - plus a Strategic Planning Committee member or two...

The map below is the "Northern Part of Town" - the top third above Godfrey Road.  The temperature is a bit colder, haven't you noticed?

DO YOU KNOW WHERE LACHAT IS ON THIS MAP?  HINT:  CIRCLED IN RED.
Now this was historic in and of itself!  Pictured above is the top third of town (generally, above Godfrey Road) from a 1986 map prepared for the first update of the Town Plan of 1969.

Some historic objects from curated collection...and interested audience!

Axe, ballot box and cannon ball above, events over the last year or so below - great power point!

TOUJOURS LACHAT!
And a switch in presentation style, and Lachat Town Farm Commission Chair. Ellen McCormick gave us real news about what's up at Lachat!!!  Evaluation of natural features, Kiwanis grant for new tractor, and so much more!

Questions and answers flowed, and then it was over!

Thanks so much for fantastic presentations and great questions too!  PLEASE NOTE THAT THE VIDEO OF THE ENTIRE MEETING IS ONLINE NOW!
